Position Summary:
This position reports to the Lab Supervisor and Taiwan office manager. To provides support for project-related localization engineering tasks as directed.
Primary Duties
• Support the engineering group and complete tasks as assigned.
• Provide engineering support of Document Translation and eLearning projects.
• Master the use of translation and localization tools.
• Support LLTS’s Quality Initiative and help develop systems and processes to increase efficiency, production, and cost effectiveness.
Requirements:
• In office position – Taiwan office
• Complete familiarity with PC and Mac environments.
• Knowledge of desktop publishing tools.
• Knowledge of database principles and applications.
• The ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
• Knowledge of how to install, upgrade and configure software applications.
• Familiarity with Windows and Mac development environments.
• Experience with on-line help files and the software localization process.
• Good analytical abilities.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with team members.
• Problem solving and trouble shooting abilities.
• Must be detail oriented
• Foreign language skills a plus.
Appropriate Education and Experience:
• A minimum of a bachelor degree with GPA ＞ 3.0, preferably in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable ability to deliver high quality projects on time and within budget.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language.
• Possible work from home for qualifying candidates with previous experience in localization engineering. Travel to office in Tainan approximately 2-3 times a month.
