As digital governance and AI regulations evolve, our Taiwan team plays a pivotal role in leading compliance practices across Asia. We are seeking a partner with strong project management skills, technical foresight, and regulatory sensitivity. You will collaborate with global teams to ensure Garmin’s services, cloud platforms, and AI applications meet international and regional standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Regional Compliance Assessment: Review service architectures and functionalities to ensure personal data processing aligns with corporate policies and Asian regulatory requirements.
• Telecom & Global Regulatory Research: Lead the analysis of telecommunication compliance and market access requirements in Asia, specifically for products featuring satellite communication and LTE connectivity.
• Cross-functional Improvement Projects: Drive the implementation of Privacy/Security by Design and manage compliance-related enhancement projects throughout the service development lifecycle in Asia.
• Process Documentation: Establish and maintain assessment records and decision logs to ensure data processing workflows meet global auditing and evidentiary requirements.
Core Requirements
• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technology Management, Information Management, or Law. 2-3+ years of experience in compliance, data protection, or related roles within the technology industry is highly preferred.
• English Proficiency (Essential): Professional-level fluency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Must be capable of independently analyzing international regulations and participating in cross-border technical discussions.
• Communication Excellence: A passion for cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to proactively engage with teams to solve problems and share practical insights.
