Leave your mark on the world.
At Garmin, we‘re united by a shared mission: to enrich lives through technology that matters — from GPS navigation to fitness wearables, and products we‘re still imagining.
We‘re looking for an experienced UX researcher who brings both rigor and empathy to the table, and who wants to turn real human behavior into product direction used by millions of people worldwide.
▲ What we offer
1. The opportunity to influence products at the intersection of hardware, software, and real human behavior
2. A collaborative environment where research is valued as an important input to design and product discussions
3. Work that reaches real people — on trails, in gyms, on oceans, and everywhere in between
▲ What you will do
1. Plan and conduct user research across wearable devices, mobile apps, and fitness-related products — from early discovery to post-launch evaluation
2. Translate user behaviors, needs, and pain points into clear, actionable insights that shape product direction
3. Partner with designers, engineers, and product teams to ensure research evidence drives informed decisions
4. Participate in design reviews alongside IxD — bringing research perspective into the shape of the product
▲ What you will bring
1. The ability to design and execute qualitative and quantitative research methods — interviews, usability testing, field studies, and surveys — matched to the right questions at the right stage
2. Communicate research findings through compelling reports, presentations, and storytelling that move teams to act
3. A portfolio or case studies demonstrating how your research has directly influenced product decisions — from insight to outcome
▲ What we‘re looking for
1. Familiar with a broad range of research methodologies and usability evaluation processes; able to select and adapt methods to fit project needs
2. Possesses excellent communication and storytelling skills to collaborate effectively with domestic and international teams; professional English ability required
3. Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and the ability to synthesize complex findings into clear, actionable insights
4. Bonus: experience conducting research for hardware products, wearables, or health and fitness domains
▲ You‘ll fit right in if you
1. Passionate about various outdoor activities and life experiences
2. Confident in my aesthetic sense and sense of humor
3. Are genuinely curious about people — what they do, why they do it, and what they wish they could
4. Curious about emerging AI technologies and design trends, and open to exploring new tools and workflows
5. It‘s not necessary to be an extrovert
