Notes for Application
1. About Nasu Lab (https://www.nasulab.org)
The Nasu Lab is dedicated to developing cutting-edge fluorescent biosensors that probe the core of cell biology: understanding cellular energy dynamics. By harnessing the potential of protein engineering and directed evolution, we work on illuminating the mysteries of how cells utilize energy.
2. Position: Research Assistant
Research Focus:
• Biosensor Development: Enhance biosensor functionalities through innovative protein engineering.
• Characterization: Rigorous testing and optimization of biosensors in controlled environments.
• Application: Employing these biosensors in live mammalian cells using fluorescence microscopy, and in vivo imaging across diverse models (fly, fish, plant, and mouse), often in collaboration with international partners.
Key Qualities:
• Eager to learn and apply new scientific techniques.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
3. What We Offer:
• Innovative Environment: Work at the forefront of biosensor technology and cellular biology.
• Skill Development: Gain hands-on experience in advanced protein engineering techniques and directed evolution.
• Collaborative and International Culture: Join a team that is passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge for mutual growth. The team members are highly diverse in nationalities. Our lab grobally collaborates with research groups in Japan, North America, and Europe.
