Role Overview:
This position is part of the Global Legal Center (GLC) at Giant Group’s headquarters. As the legal headquarters of a multinational corporation, GLC handles legal affairs across regions including Taiwan, Europe, the Americas, and Southeast Asia, ensuring compliance with international laws. The diverse scope of work allows you to learn in various fields and develop a global perspective.
Responsibilities:
1. Contract Drafting and Review:
a. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts in both Chinese and English, ensuring
legal accuracy and compliance.
b. Manage and resolve domestic and international disputes and litigation,
providing strategic legal advice to mitigate risks.
2. Legal Compliance:
a. Provide comprehensive legal consultation to ensure the company’s adherence
to local and international laws and regulations.
b. Oversee compliance with customs trade laws, fair trade practices, privacy
protection regulations, and other relevant legal frameworks.
c. Develop and implement compliance programs and policies to safeguard the
company’s interests.
3. Intellectual Property Management:
a. Manage the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including patents,
trademarks, and copyrights.
b. Provide expert advice on IP-related matters and execute projects to protect and
enforce the company’s IP rights.
c. Conduct IP due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic
initiatives.
4. Major Investment Support:
a. Assist in the negotiation, drafting, and review of agreements related to domestic
and international investments, mergers, and acquisitions.
b. Provide legal support for the establishment of new factories and other major
projects, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
c. Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential legal risks
associated with major investments.
5. Regulatory Affairs:
a. Monitor and analyze changes in laws and regulations that may impact the
company’s operations.
b. Advise management on regulatory developments and recommend necessary
actions to ensure compliance.
c. Liaise with regulatory authorities and represent the company in regulatory
matters.
6. Training and Development:
a. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on legal and
compliance matters.
b. Foster a culture of legal awareness and compliance within the organization.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
a. Work closely with other departments, such as finance, HR, and operations, to
provide legal support and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic
goals.
b. Collaborate with external legal counsel and consultants to address complex
legal issues.
8. Other Duties:
a. Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by supervisors, contributing to the
overall success of the Global Legal Center.
