The Cheung Lab, relocating from the Francis Crick Institute (London, UK) to the Genomics Research Center (GRC), Academia Sinica (Taipei) in August 2025, is seeking highly motivated and creative researchers to join our team. In GRC, you will be joining a group of enthusiastic postdocs and PhD students with diverse expertise in cancer research and metabolism and will have access to state-of-the-art approaches and resources in GRC as well as other AS institutes. Our goal is to understand how cancer cells communicate with their immediate microenvironment as well as distal host tissues and organs to regulate metabolic stress and redox homeostasis in tumours to facilitate growth and metastasis, focusing on pancreatic cancer (Cheung et al. PNAS 2024, Cheung and Vousden Nat Rev Cancer 2022, Cheung et al. Cancer Cell 2020, Cheung et al. Genes Dev 2016, Cheung et al. Developmental Cell 2013). We employ functional genomics, metabolomics, ex vivo organoid models, animal models of cancer, and single cell sequencing to uncover new mechanisms of disease and therapeutic targets.
