Your primary objective will be to drive our capacity + pricing procurement efforts. You will ensure that Carrier Management + gateway volume drives complement each other, remaining a priority + key factor in gaining + retaining customers. You will need to liaise with internal + external stakeholders while aligning the interests of each with our key objectives.
To lay out a procurement plan for assigned area of responsibility, aligning the same with larger initiatives on a Regional/Global level.
To evaluate current carrier share for key trade lanes, recommending optimization measures to maximize core carrier share.
To evaluate opportunities to consolidate current volumes to achieve better yields to help optimize the achievable net rate (ANR), laying the foundation for future business development opportunities.
To engage with overseas counterparts in the promotion of two-way carrier deals, helping to create efficiencies in our long term procurement efforts.
To evaluate carrier metrics + ensure volume allocations are in line with targets to support the success of the preferred carrier program (PCP).
To monitor + push for maximization of volumes via our Gateways, to achieve better consol benefits as well as supporting cost management.
