＊Qualifications:
1. Native speaker of Spanish with strong proficiency in Chinese and English.
2. Master’s degree from an overseas institution and at least 2 years of experience in translation, writing, or editing; or bachelor’s degree from an overseas institution and at least 4 years of experience in translation, writing, or editing.
3. Strong Spanish editing and proofreading skills with fluent, polished writing.
4. Demonstrate a strong interest in Taiwan-related news and information.
5. Familiar with foreign-language periodical traditional publishing, with website and social-media management experience; possessing capabilities in international communication and marketing.
6. Ability to plan and report on news, and write Spanish-language news stories.
7. Not possessing any of the disqualifying circumstances listed in Article 28, Paragraph 1 of the Civil Service Act:
(1) Has committed the crime of insurrection or treason after the termination of the Period of National Mobilization for Suppression of the Communist Rebellion, and has been convicted by a final judgment or is still under wanted status.
(2) Has engaged in acts of corruption while serving as a public official, and has been convicted by a final judgment or is still under wanted status.
(3) Has been convicted by a final judgment and sentenced to imprisonment or a more severe penalty for crimes other than those in the preceding two subparagraphs, and has not yet served or completed the sentence; this does not apply to those granted probation.
(4) Has been dismissed from office as a disciplinary sanction.
(5) Has been suspended from appointment in accordance with the law.
(6) Has been deprived of civil rights and these have not yet been reinstated.
(7) Is prohibited from employment as a civil servant by other laws.
(8) Is under guardianship or assistance, and such declaration has not yet been revoked.
＊Duties:
1. Drafting, reviewing, proofreading, and polishing Spanish-language content for the Ministry’s regular publications: the bimonthly Taiwán Hoy and the Spanish e-newsletter Noticias de Taiwán.
2. Topic selection, drafting, and layout/page planning for the above regular and ad-hoc Spanish features.
3. Management of the websites and social-media accounts related to the Spanish-language Taiwán Hoy and Noticias de Taiwán.
4. Compiling and translating annual projects and other occasional international promotional materials.
5. Other tasks as assigned.
＊Monthly Salary: Approximately NT$70,400.
