• The Material Compliance Officer is part of the Global Material Compliance team, responsible for overseeing the compliance programs related to the Restricted Substances List (RSL) and ensuring that material compliance standards are upheld across the global manufacturing network. This role encompasses all products under Amer Sports brands, aiming to fulfill legal obligations, customer expectations, and company commitments while minimizing risks to consumers, the environment, the company, and its brands.
• Oversee the Chemical Management Program, including the implementation of bluesign and the Manufacturing Restricted Substance List (MRSL), assist with material compliance corrective action plans, manage the cotton origin identification program, and track and report supplier material compliance.
• Responsible for distributing, communicating, and providing ongoing training on the corporate chemical management policy to brands, mills, vendors, and supply chain partners. Act as a technical resource for business partners regarding RSL/MRSL compliance requirements.
• Identify regulatory risks for management and develop plans to ensure compliance and reduce potential risks.
• Manage supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess chemical compliance performance and facilitate integration with the material sourcing system.
• Oversee the RSL testing program, ensuring effective communication among suppliers, brands, and external laboratories; validate RSL testing reports, certificates, and remediation actions for RSL non-compliance.
• Provide support for onsite factory audits related to chemical management and RSL compliance as needed.
• Assist brands and material compliance teams in researching sustainable or green chemistries for material sourcing.
