• Maintain the hotel’s detailed accounts using the accounting system.
• Supports and acts for The Residences in all accounting matters.
• Ensure all monthly financial reports, forecast and other information are accurately
complied and submitted within the specified time limits.
• Identify any monthly financial variances and prepare variance or cost analysis.
• Co-ordinates with Finance and other departments to ensure accuracy and month-end closing time-line are met.
• Ensures adherence to all Financial Accounting Standards, Governmental Tax and MOHG/MOTPE policies and procedures guidelines.
• Liaise with auditors, bankers and tax agents in relation to statutory audit and tax reporting compliance.
• Responsible for the proper control of all cash funds and other assets.
• Performs monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts.
• Assist the Assistant Director of Finance in reviewing accounting aspects of hotel operations systems are in compliance with internal control and make recommendations for improvement and implementation.
• Assist the Assistant Director of Finance in the preparation of yearly budgeting process.
• Ensure smooth running of the subordinate sections and are performing their tasks properly and efficiently.
• Perform spot checks to ensure subordinate sections procedures comply with the all established internal control and accounting policy and procedure.
• Other duties as assigned.
