Leave your mark on the world.
At Garmin, we‘re united by a shared mission: to enrich lives through technology that matters — from GPS navigation to fitness wearables, and products we‘re still imagining.
We‘re looking for an experienced product designer who brings both craft and curiosity to the table, and who wants to shape experiences used by millions of people worldwide.
▲ What we offer
1. The opportunity to design products at the intersection of hardware, software, and human behavior
2. A collaborative environment where designers have real ownership and cross-functional influence
3. Work that reaches real people — on trails, in gyms, on oceans, and everywhere in between
▲ What you will do
1. Define interaction models and experience flows across wearable devices, mobile apps, and embedded interfaces
2. Translate complex user needs and product requirements into intuitive, elegant design solutions
3. Partner with engineering, product, and research teams to move concepts from ambiguity to shipped product
4. Participate in user research activities alongside UXR — including interviews, usability tests, and synthesis sessions
▲ What you will bring
1. Produce creative and highly usable interaction solutions grounded in user needs, product goals, and real-world constraints
2. Communicate design concepts through wireframes, mockups, prototypes, storyboards, and behavioral documentation that engineering and product teams can act on
3. A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end IxD work — from early exploration to shipped product — across digital interfaces or hardware-software experiences
▲ What we‘re looking for
1. Proficient in interaction flow planning and UI design principles; hands-on with Figma, prototyping tools, and design system thinking
2. Possesses excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with domestic and international development and design teams; professional English ability required
3. Demonstrates strong independent thinking and the ability to analyze, frame, and solve complex design problems with clear logic
4. Bonus: experience designing for constrained interfaces (small screens, wearable displays, or embedded systems)
▲ You‘ll fit right in if you
1. Passionate about various outdoor activities and life experiences
2. Confident in my aesthetic sense and sense of humor
3. Able to talk a lot about the design reasoning behind the work themselves
4. Curious about emerging AI technologies and design trends, and open to exploring new tools and workflows
5. It‘s not necessary to be an extrovert
