The Business Manager holds the responsibility of managing the businesses and customer portfolio, co-working with UMC internal function teams and reporting to the General Manger/Senior Director of UMC BV (EMEA)
- Executes and strive to outperform the Business Plan (BP) targets index in term of sales revenue, wafer shipment, ASP and product tape-out
- Build-up high level network and relationship with customers and vendors by profiling and penetrating key decision makers; understands the customers’corporate/foundry strategy, technology and product roadmap, competition landscape and end customer/markets trend
- Collects market intelligence and develops short & long term business plan based on the forecasting of customer tape outs, volume demand and internals’resources allocation (engineering resources, capacity)
- Taking the leadership role to coordinate cross the company’s different function team in order to achieve the short & long term business plan
- Manages the business portfolio growth and develops the risk mitigation plan by identifying market/customer demand risks
- Represents the company in front of the customers’ high level management and serve as the champion of customer to internal professionally
- Identifies new business opportunities from the existing and potential new customers that matches UMC and customer’s corporate/foundry strategy
