Purpose of Role
Manage all online marketing and social media initiatives for a hotel or designated set of hotels. Plan and execute marketing campaigns at a property level, enabling more customized and need based online marketing for hotels. Core role is to optimize the website marketing, manage the use of the Star Guest Communications CRM tool, online content management tools for third parties &/or Marriott branded websites, manage and execute online advertising plan and be the primary owner of all relevant online reporting and be responsible for all Social media activities
Key responsibility is to drive marketing solutions that will improve performance for the various online channels and together with Revenue Management team to support property’s overall Revenue Per Available Room (RevPar) index and other key customer metrics according to brand.
Responsibly Description
- Create individual marketing plans for the hotel to drive revenue across all online customers segments (leisure travel), and work with the property Director of Sales & Marketing, General Manager and Director of Revenue Management to ensure a smooth execution.
- Champion of all Social media communications and brand positioning (eg FaceBook)
- Online advertising campaigns and Key word campaigns
- Developing online web pages that promote the properties, and special offers (SOP) tied in with the destination or with the specific brand
- Manage the hotels Guest communications platform and develop innovative communications plans
- Destination/Hotel specific site sites development and management
- Other Marriott websites marketing channels, eg eatdrinkandmore.com, Marriottmeetings.com
- Local and regional third party relationship executing third party tactical campaigns
- Third party website auditing
