Job Purpose : Visionbay.ai is one of the leaders of AI Data Center and AI Factory in Taiwan. A Network Specialist in Visionbay Architecture Team helps to design, implement and deliver IP networks over Ethernet and Infiniband/RoCE protocols that are crucial in an HPC environment.
Responsibilities
technical planning for AIDC projects
collect, compile, and synchronize the networking and infra security related requirement
define, agree on the acceptance criteria with customers / users
provide high-level networking and infra security solutions based on the requirement
perform detailed networking and infra security design based on the solution
provide implementation plan or migration plan based on the above
technical delivery for new AIDC projects
install and configure the network / infra security appliances to bring up secured connectivity
(optionally) perform configuration change over production environment based on the migration plan
perform testing, validation, and fine-tuning for the connectivity
(optionally) on-call during change period for production environment
documentation handling until handover
generate and update the requirement, solutions, detailed design, and acceptance documents
generate and update the implementation plan, migration plan
acceptance & handover
accept the deliverables from suppliers based on the agreed criteria
deliver training sessions to internal teams
handover the infrastructure to operation teams
Competence
must have (at least 80％)
solid knowledge throughout TCP/IP model and OSI model
feel comfortable working via pure CLI
able to install and configure network appliances and security appliances from scratch
able to perform quickly and precisely end-to-end (for a transaction or a use case) troubleshooting inside an AS and across Internet
CCIE/JNCIE or equivalent hands-on experience
expert level of knowledge on core/border layer architecture and configuration via BGP/MP-BGP, MPLS VPNs, EVPN, OSPF/IS-IS protocols
expert level of knowledge on LAN architecture, broadcast domain concepts, plus spanning-tree protocols, FHRPs,
expert level of knowledge with at least one of router/switch products such like Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Arista
familiar with public/private BGP peering as well as IP transit design and configuration
familiar with at least one of the firewall products such like Fortigate, Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA or Juniper SRX
familiar with any WAF/IPS products from well-known vendors or SASE functions over cloud
familiar with site-to-site VPN, client-to-site VPN, SSL/VPN design and configuration
familiar with at least one of the SLB/ADC products such like F5, A10 or Citrix Netscalar (or haproxy, nginx)
familiar with the monitoring protocols including syslog, SNMP, SNMPTRAP, netflow/xFlow
familiar with web services, HTTP headers, SSL/TLS certificates
familiar with IP packet inspection
familiar with firewall zoning
Work Experience
5 years of networking and infra security working experience in on-prem Service Provider environment
3 years of hands-on networking and infra security implementation and migration experience in critical production environments
